One sunny day, about 6 years ago now, sitting in Susana Balbo's winery after an excellent tasting and a very good lunch, we rued the fact that no matter how we tried, we couldn't find a good Tannat. A Tannat that could be enjoyed without the need for a knife a fork or 10 years in bottle. "Why didn't you ask me?" Susana said. And so this wine was born.
This is one of the best value wines in our portfolio because this quality of Tannat is normally kept as a blending component for the premium end wines. A good day's work then!
