The grapes are from Famatina Valley in La Rioja Province at just under 1,000 metres above sea level, grown on vines planted at a much lower density (2,800 plants per hectare) than in Mauricio's Mendoza vineyards, and trained in the traditional high pergola style.
This is a gorgeous little Torrontés, plenty of that sublime exotic character - jasmine scent and lychees - but superb acid structure making it really zesty and lively. Mauricio picks approximately 10% of the fruit a little early in order to achieve this refreshing style.
