One of a series of very top-end, tiny production Malbecs – this one from Canota Valley – this is certainly a statement wine whose density, complexity and potential for ageing needs to be experienced. Wines like this are so impressive they almost defy description and one of the things we love about this is the apparently seamless relationship between its textural austerity and its wondrous generosity of fruit on both nose and palate. A wine amongst peers that are defining a new age of Argentine Malbec.
“Rich and voluptuous on the nose. Real tension and liquorice notes. Polished nish.”
16.5 / 20, Jancis Robinson, Argentina 2020 (2017 vintage)
