Here's a truly luxurious Chardonnay crafted in a style far more akin to serious Burgundy than anything else, but with a generosity and viscous charm not always achievable from our French friends. Deep gold in colour with a nose profoundly classic - plenty of well-integrated posh new oak (French, bien sûr!), lovely notes of stone fruits, apple, pineapple, banana and a twist of lime, honey and vanilla pod. The palate is pure indulgence, too, but in no way overbearing, with delicious acidity and a very long, sophisticated finish.
