It's hardly suprising that this wine is so damn good. Susana Balbo cut her winemaking teeth up in Salta Province; the home, many would say, of the best Torrontés grapes and, arguably, wines. Susana thus has a special affinity with this varietal, but not an irrational allegiance to its Salta provenance. For this wine, 10% of the fruit is grown in Altamira in the Uco Valley, where a rather more neutral wine with pronounced acidity is made. Blend these two things together and the result, we believe, is the perfect Torrontés. A true modern classic, highly aromatic but not cloying, very fruity but dry, crisp and refreshing.
