This is essentially 'de-classified' Riglos Malbec, making it one of the best value Malbecs available anywhere! The wine is from vines grown at Finca Las Divas, the vineyard owned by Riglos in Tupungato, Uco Valley. The idea is to take the same very premium quality fruit but dispense with the patience (and expense) associated with maturation in posh new French oak. Dark, rich, juicy and round with attractive mineral notes, 6 months in second use French oak, a class act.
"Quinto is the only entry level Malbec at Riglos, but it's a very attractive wine, with 13% Cabernet adding some backbone and acidity to the supple, easy going, lightly oaked Malbec. Textured, forward, and a pleasure to drink."

"Picked late by the standards of Quinto in this cool vintage, this is a good introduction to the Riglos range. It's a serious, black-fruited number with good focus, understated second use oak and a compact, structured finish that will repay patience."
