Montesco Punta Negra (Pinot Noir) 2014

Montesco Punta Negra (Pinot Noir) 2014

Matias Michelini makes all these weird and truly wonderful wines, rule-breakers and bonkers blends, then he goes and makes this utterly sublime, very classy, one might even say very traditional Pinot Noir in a most Burgundian style. The wine is delicate in every sense yet delivers such a powerful statement of intent and ambition. We defy anyone to show a better, finer example of Pinot Noir at this price from any vineyard in South America. From vines planted in 1949, aged for 16 months in a single two thousand litre, old oak tonnel.
