NEW! Riglos Gran Malbec 2007

Our notes:
Bright, polished ruby colour, pink rim, very pronounced legs. Very fresh and appealing on the nose with gentle touches of smoky oak, under-stated and elegant. Bright, fresh attack on the palate with pronounced but perfectly balanced tannins, masses of delicious cassis-like fruit, youthful, with a lovely hint of spice on the end. 11 months in bottle prior to release, wonderful now but it will improve for at least 7-9 years.

Pulqui’s notes:
“…AS IF A PERSON WHO HAS SPENT HIS LIFE TALKING ABOUT THE UNICORNS SUDDENLY GLIMPSES ONE.” Doris Lessing
“… and is well, is like that, is the discovery of the Malbec, from his fluid fall in the cup, his gloating with the air and the glass, his bounded depths with francs red but blurry, blue forgotten and blacks of staining. There are no sheens, everything is a rest of the pupils, like the newspaper boy in the middle of the night.  In aromas it is simply the case of Doris’ unicorn. Much is spoken about Malbec until you find this exemplar, and understand everything: from the stork, the king’s magicians, Superman and Tinker Bell, this possible lover of Peter Pan. Then the mouse with a sweet revenue but rude in the middle of the act, you stay looking at the nothing but feeling everything of these things of the wines / arts: fresh fruits with cream, lactic to guard, tannins that make you return to reality and an end that is never ending because you do not want to separate.”
Phew!

"Spice, violets and ripe, soft, red fruit. Moderate alcohol and ripe tannins give structure to the fruit. Appealing, with delicate aromatics."
