NEW! Riglos Gran Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Our notes:
Lovely dense purple colour with blueberry glints. Clean and charmingly dusty on the nose; gorgeous, pure plum and blackberry fruit with creamy coconut notes from the oak. Loads of up-front black fruit on the palate, big chewy tannins but again really well integrated with a massive and very persistent finish. Demands a good steak if drinking now but it will age really well for up to ten years.

Pulqui’s notes:
“THE BLOOD IS SO PERSONAL, THAT IT IS NOT TRANSFERABLE. BECAUSE IT IS NOT MADE ONLY OF RED AND WHITE BLOOD CELLS, BUT IS COMPOSED ESPECIALLY OF MEMORIES.”
Antonio Tabucchi
“In this beverage, so liturgically associated with the blood, the same thing happens exactly. We have thousands of words for the plants, varietals, clones, lands and climates; his careful managing of the canopy, de-shooting, bunch thinning, yields, harvest moments… Let’s strip the product of his bottle, of his cork and of his label, what remains? The wine. The foundation that is a lived life… a lonely glass of wine…  This wine in my file of memories: at the beginning does not have the Hollywood sheen but the laces of the Bovary. His aromas are of a surrounding Cabernet, always the seducer with his peppers, nuts, hazelnuts, right there in the forest when you eat them. When you swallow it there is a sensation of voluminous green, yes, the same one of the fruit-bearing forest that they are chopping, the mouth remains clean, ready for another experience.”
Wow!
