NEW! Doña Ascensión Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

This is very much the same wine as the RD from Tacuil but – shock horror! – it has been aged in new French oak barrels for 5 months prior to bottling.  This represents a major diversion for Tacuil but it also adds a lovely string to their bow. The nose offers big airy wafts of violets atop the dense black fruit; on the palate it is dreamlike in definition, tremendously robust yet very finely balanced with an almost Bordelaise character to the finish.
